if H/C is so good why do they need to do private hire work on a radio as well putting it their way, nicking our work, seems unfair that the can do both and P/H cant its about time they issued just one type of licence to do both so we are all the same like they do in the rest of europe.

Ged May,
brilliant on the ewe turn, but, I drive a Mondeo and it has the worst lock of anything that I have driven. Great car, crap lock, unbelievably bad.

Getting back to the h/c p/h thing, I work as a p/h in Plymouth. On Sunday we had a 3 car booking out side of a big music store in the Plymouth city centre were major developement is being done. All road markings are gone and a 3 lane road (including bus lane) is reduced to 1 apart from the bus bays. (not bus lane) They are not there at the mo (because the roads are ripped up) but were there before, h/c ranks, and us 3 p/h cars were waiting for our 5pm 3 car booking. At exactly 5pm, a h/c car came down the opposite carridgeway shouting get off the rank, (which isn't there now) and making some sort of obscene hand signals. Needless to say, the booking was a (hoax) no fare. Makes you wonder if the same person that ordered the 3 car booking, also makes similar calls to the emergency services. What is going on here?

Sick.

How brave of the cab driver to mouth off on his way down the road. Next time just get his plate number and report him.
As for the no show, well alas it will happen again. See if you office saves numbers, then either blank that number or give it a ring a few times about 3 oclock in the morning.

I would rather be a cowboy than get fleeced of 30 to 40 grand for a H/C plate and earn the same money
