the doblo for instance has got M1 european clearance for use as a taxi, and no they are not death traps at all, thats just used by the likes of you.

If such a vehicle was to be involved in a rear end accident and the rear door/ doors were jammed, how would you remove the passenger safely without risk of injusry to either you or them.

Just to remind everyone that ALL vehicles must achieve European Full Body M1 certification to be used on our roads. The certification for any vehicle is invalidated either when its passenger carrying capability is changed or any part of the chasis or bodywork is changed.

As only vehicles manufacturerd can be considered to have M1 certification your claim that any converted vehicle attains the certification the vehicle recieved when manufactured.

LTI, Metrocab and Allied Vehicles ALL manufacture their vehicles and have all had their vehicles properly tested. Other companies convert vehicles to M1 specification and those to should be considered. However rear entry is dangerous for taxi users as there are no ranks that allow passengers to board the vehicle without going onto the road.

Public safety must be paramount, these vehicles carry to much risk.

Maybe its just a case of individual standards, but I would rather ensure that the vehicle I use is fit for public service and of the highest safety standard possible, its obvious that you don't share my principles of safety before profit.

you are missing the point entirely not suprisingly

the doblo wheelchair accessible has been passed m1 as a taxi thats what I said and thats what I meant.

the vast majority of disabled by wheelchair clients buy these vehicles for themselves.

its just a scare story put about by vested interest to say these vehicles are always in crashes

what do councils buy for thier own use? backloading with a taillift

a local authority here has just specified for a taxi company vehicles to do thier work.(the councils) and the council will be passing the vehicles for hackney work.

the spec is backloading with a tail lift.

Try taking them to FIAT for warranty work, they will run a mile.

the vehicles I describe here could be fiats , ford, or iveco but they are not either of these.

when they come they wont be fiats, or have a fiat warrenty.

Pugs then, the dealers are trying to get out of doing the warranty work anyway.

Geoff you really are a [edited by admin].

You have consistantly argued for the Doblo, a trading name of Fiat yet when someone tells you Fiat UK don't want to know anything about them you suddenly change your argument and conveniently change the manufacturer, is this really you or are you on holiday again and is someone else in your office using your computer.

Where is the M1 certfication for the converted Doblo, Cab Direct don't have it, JAG don't have it for their Doblo or any other vehicles they convert even though they are converted to standard.

Where on earth do you get figures that support your claim that Doblo's carry more wheelchair passengers than "in London Internationals", or like every other of your claims and asumptions do they just come to you when your asleep.

Yet another case of incorrect information from Geoff Fielding/Yorkie/Spanners/various guests.

You go along to any ATC or newly built special needs school and you will find proper facilities for tail lift vehicles, while there view tail lift vehicles parked rear end to kerb and whitness headteachers cautioning drivers for not loading from the path.

Safety Safety Safety Geoff mate.

it just destroys you argument for new salloons, thats why it has to be a lie.

At least my posts make sense.

Listen dick, I don't want any more plates issued in Gateshead, be they for WAVs or Saloons.

I am concerned that as Gateshead Council restrict the numbers of saloon plates, against government reccomendations, their failure to restrict both licenses or neither of them is where they WILL face a legal challenge. This challenge will come from neither myself or the T&G but from elements within our trade who wish to see every vehicle licensed by the council as a HC a wish incidentally which is shared by the portfolio holder for transport who has responsibility for licensing.

Remember your views about licensing allow criminals to obtain licenses, to follow your opinion would see child molestors, rapists and drug dealers driving for hire and reward, I wonder if this is so that you will fit in better.

yes they will face legal challenge and sooner than you think.
because they are under order to go all WAV a solution will have to be found to fit the clients you quote that need salloon type vehicles, you said it not all are suited to London Type vehicles.

I have expressed a possible solution, once again because my e-mails dont suit you have to become all abusive

its your trait "you come here and speak to our drivers "you once said I aggreed and then you picked an argumennt where that could be stopped.

realy Mick The problems with gatehead is not so much the councillors or officers but the very week advocacy.

its like your views on licensing, barmy I have never said criminals should get licenses, nor rapists but you have to just blacken because your poor argument has resoundingly been defeated,

its up to you pal you are the one that says you cant make a crust, something must be wrong.

you are more than incapable of putting that right, you were putting statements out of great change, well you bit the dust didnt you?

never mind Mick, carry on and lose again.

JAG are advertising a doblo with M1 certification as a taxi.

Jag build or convert many vehicles for the mobility market and are chosen
by disabled themselves as cars.

many taxi drivers on here openly claim not to carry wheelchairs and the converters sell more cars to disabled people than london taxi international build/

add the two together and you will plainly see that Mick you have once again been resoundingly been defeated.

never mind pal, none ever said you were not a tryer just that once again your flawed thinking and bullying have let you down.

we are at that point again where you would bar to stop you being made to look rhidiculous.

"drivers are told to back up to the kerb" how absurd!

could you imagine that?

Ask a Council for a disclaimer for these conversions because of the M1 type approval, it's not worth the paper it's printed on. When asked for the disclaimer they will run a mile.

Don't have to imagine it sunshine, I just need to walk 500yrds to the local ATC and I can here it with my own ears and see it with my own eyes.

Allowing passengers to board a vehicle from the road is unsafe thats why all forms of public transport alight to the pavement.

Also we have a shortage of rank space up here with traffic wardens threatening to ticket anyone not within the designated space, I wouldn't hold much hope of the cab behind you leaving enough room for you to pull out the ramp from the back of the vehicle.

The invitation was not the only invitation you have recieved from me but not accepted.

If you want to come up here for our next meeting then, as a union member, you are more than welcome I will send you confirmation of time and date along with an agenda if you wish.

You won't come though cause you don't have the courage of your own convictions or enough insight as to whats happening outside your own manor.

Ha ha ha

Don't make me laugh Geoff sunshine.

It is me who is the puppet of the people I represent.

If I were to require a puppet I would not look in your direction, however should I ever require the services of a muppet I'd be in touch.

you mean to tell me that all these proposals come from your members?

surely somebody must have more wisdom than that?

Michael it is your job to elicit there needs and package it according to law not dance like a puppet man.

so your members say that backloading of wavs are dangerous despite having m1 certification?

blind leading the blind.
