I don't know about that. But if the views from those members are the same as the rubbish suggestions that I hear every day, then nothing would surprise me.
Most drivers just haven't a clue.

And most drivers are happy to go along as they are.

That's until something comes along that affects them in a negative way, and their previous apathy has led them no other choice but to accept it.

Geoff please tell me where I can buy a European Full Bodied M1 Specification vehicle with all the relevant certification other than from Cab Direct or LTI that is purpose built to be used as a taxi specifically to carry wheelchairs.

Now I don't want to hear about the converters who produce M1 certification prior to coversion and subsequent change of passenger configuration or use, or those that convert to standard.

I want you to tell me, and everyone else, where I can buy a vehicle that loads from the rear that hasn't had its passenger configuration changed since it left the production line from which it was manufactured.

I can't find any, my council's transport department can't find any indeed no-one I have asked other than Cab Direct and LTI have offered me any. Cab Direct also sell the Doblo style vehicle you rant about and they don't profess that their vehicle is M1 rated.

I can't wait to hear the bullshit you come out with in response.

For someone who claims to be a union member you hold a similar view to many who are anti unions, I hear their mutterings every day of the week.

Union branches show unity, drivers sticking together, and that undermines shortsighted PH operators who feel threatened by drivers becoming organised. With very good reason.

For a supposed member of the T&G you don't seem to be pulling the way of the majority accross the country, maybe its time you reviewed your membership as you don't seem to agree with a single policy.

first of all cab direct dont fulfill your criterion never mind anyone else.

grab hold of a Private hitr and taxi monthly for may I have it in my hand here

flip the cover to page 2 jubillee advert bottom left hand corner

new model doblo euro cab, with full m1 type approval as a taxi

says it there now to be a bit clever you add things like purpose built wel;l cab direct have nothing purpose built

you see you set rules and have exeptions to suit yourself

but wait a minute none of those salloons are purpose built and they are ok to you

comon Mick now argue reasonably/

oh no they dont!
taxi drivers dont suddenly become mute when they join a union.
and opperators come frightened only because they dont have enough work for a mass that pay for it.

still nothing the unions can do they are after all self employed, can you have an influence down at station taxis?

as for me reviewing my membership thats for me not your buisness pal, its no good these days granted, as I grow the union talks to me rather than for me.

I'm sad because I daily whitness corruption.
I'm sad because I daily speak to brother union members who are facing bankruptcy.
I'm sad because I see more and more people entering the trade without looking into it first or believing people who tell them they will make a grand a week.

I'm sad that Gateshead, although massively over provisioned, is viewed as being the same as those areas which are under provisioned.
I'm sad that people pull out stories for the news section of their website where deregulation is being introduced and the current numbers are being defended even though the current number only total 30-40 HC and there is quite obviously unmet demand.

I'm also, and lastly sad that someone, obviously listens and discusses things with people in my borough yet doesn't take up an invitation to call me to hear the opposing view, then sets out on a hate campaign along the same lines as the minority of this persons supporters or employees are trying to undertake up here, unsuccessfully.

WRONG Jubilee test their vehicles "BEFORE" conversion that's why it's a low volume test, ask Jubilee and your Council for a disclaimer and Mr Holland will SH*TE himself. The only firm who do a "FULL" test are LTI. Mind you with Metrocab making a welcomed comeback it could be the end for MR arrogant Holland. He don't like being questioned about the shoddy workmanship he ploughs out.

you dont bloody own the trade at Gateshead for gods sake!
you are responsible for sorting the first list corruption you can stop it, if it exists, I dont believe it does.

Bankrupcy a lot of that could be brought to an end too, but no you refuse to play your proper part, in making it viable, as you say you choose who you belive and make wrong choices every time.

Mick, as for dicussing things in your borogh I am sure it happens! but your opposing view on here is bloody boring without canvassing for it.

is it neccesary to have an opposing view on everything? people give you alternative ways of you succeading with your council, every single one has tedious opposing views

waste of a phone call recievenig that lot!
