We once had an advertising campaign in our local press trying to poach existing drivers from other company's, the ad went something along the lines of:

Are you fed up with the same old drivers getting all the best jobs? At Discount Cabs we don't have any favorites, everybody gets a fair crack of the whip here

This was just after the drivers at one company had gone on strike because of controllers feeding..... The boss of that company no longer sends me Christmas cards...LOL

They kicked off but did they have the balls/nous/bottle to rent a base and install phones+radios?

It doesn't matter where you go on the Taxi circuit there will always be feeding, you can have the best system with a anti feeding control but they'll get round it one way or another. A guy I know who runs a company will sack any driver who takes a job out of turn or an operator who has given the driver a job out of turn. They are taking bread out of the other driver pockets.

I think a few left and joined another company, most stayed and thats another thing i can't get my head around.....why complain in the first place and just end up staying even when nothing changes.

I 100% agree, last year i sacked an operator that was texting one of his mates telling him where to park up at certain times of the day to get the best Jobs. I've had that operator back on the phone asking for his job back 3 times since he was sacked.
