Ok I'll try and go a little slower for you, you are not considering the commission drivers.

Try reading my posts again, i already did speak to my drivers, now i'm trying to get the opinions of other drivers, or am i not supposed to do that on a taxi drivers forum?

How many vehicles and do you want a villa in Spain....the answers easy....sell shares of the company for say £15K each....1 radio = 1 share

let them run it and head for spain.

CC

I already have a villa in calahonda, costa del sol, spain, now i'm working towards a private island in the virgin islands. I am semi retired, a management team run the taxi side of things most of the time when things are running well, i just become more involved when we decide to modify/change things about.

Would that £2.00 commission be something the tax and Vat man dont know about

Why would that be? it's just that the commission drivers don't pay for anything else so they help out towards the advertising costs. If it wasn't declared do you think i'd post about it on a public forum? It's all above board...honest gov!

Why would i? i still enjoy the business, I've worked bloody hard for many years, and the business is still evolving. To pack it all in now would be like quitting as soon as the going gets tough, that's not what i am about.

Thanks but like i said i've got nothing to hide.....get me a crash hat ready just in case.

You can have my helmet I don't need it. It doesn't work against blonde moments and where there's no sense there's no feeling so I don't care if they pick on me I'll just find a corner and go cry quietly.

In the meantime when they ask personal questions about your business tell em to bugger off you are asking for their opinion as to methods of either settle or settle buy vehicles for drivers who work for you. If I wanted to purchase a vehicle on a settle buy option I would want a set amount available for repairs built into the cost of the vehicle. I also would not object to you making a small % profit for the convenience of being able to just do one if I feel like and leaving you with the vehicle.

It appears that you run a pretty decent shop there but if you ever have the same number of jobs coming in but with 350 drivers I may then change my opinion

TBH asking taxi/PH drivers the best way forward is not necessarily the best thing, as if we had any business sense we wouldn't be in the trade in the first place. :?

My guvnor will lend drivers the money for a car. Borrow £5000, pay back £7500 at £200 pw.
The guvnor then tells the controllers to look after the driver so he gets his money!

I was just looking in on the Vigilante Forum, I see you've taken up Photography Rambo.

What's your name, David Bailey?

I thought you said you'd left that office?

Unless he has a credit license, that would make him a loan shark. FFS 50% interest over 37,5 weeks would give an apr of around 65%.

If feeling philanthropic why not just reduce the radio rents to all and do away with the surcharges on jockeys?....
