Indeed, as (a) only applied between 1847 and 1985.

To be honest I've never given it too much thought, my grandfather and father did drive hacks as well as PH though, so I'll give it some thought and post a reply later. i suppose that sounds like a typical (I'll swerve this) answer from an operator.

Your honesty is refreshing, and for that I will withdraw my question as TBH there isn't an answer, just two sides of the same coin.

So I will give you an easier question. Pros and cons of PH roof lights.

OK I'm trying to think "out of the box" here and it's not really working too good :? so I'm going to try again:

My initial thoughts are if this ruling was applied to PH I'd absolutely hate it, as a business man i am constantly making decisions regarding supply and demand. This ruling basically removes my option to allow supply for demand, So with that in mind, my 1st thoughts are that i am not a fan, however i will give this some more thought and post my honest opinions later.

Those are kind words, thank you sir

That's an easy one, i don't like them, they just look so ugly on normal PH car's, they also offer an unfair advantage to PH vehicles in areas not stipulating the use of "black cab" type vehicles for hacks.

Yes, i suppose it does eusasmiles.zip

When i started this thread i kind of hoped that I'd be able to offer some help to others wanting to go it alone and become an operator, or maybe drivers looking into the management side of PH/hackney company's. I guess we'll just have to wait and see which direction this thread takes us.

I'm going away for a few day's next week to Luton for my final training on our new Evo-Core system, which is being installed at the moment. We should go live at the back end of March, our go live date has already been put back 1 week due to poor service from our telecoms supplier. Telecoms suppliers and installs are a subject that i can really rant about!

Pro's and con's of telecoms anyone?
