I have to say I have mixed feelings about de-reg. I would also think that if the association I was a member of was against de-reg it would not be prudent to vote in somebody who has been known to be for de-reg previously. These types of people are a risk to principals IMO

Thats because you have a brain I guess.

Unfortunately, sometimes in association meetings the tub thumpers are the ones the masses listen to. They are completely brainless, but hey, they're noisy and must be right!

Strange....when I was in York a couple of years ago, a decent guy who actually cared about the taxi trade did buy me a pint.

First impressions tend to last.

That would have been the old secretary who did care a lot, although he got things done, he was not militant enough for the new brigade and they voted him out, next time you are in York pm me and I will buy you a beer and put you right on what really happened. This new lot cannot get it through their thick heads that the local authority will always have the final word.

It sounds like that beer is needed sooner rather than later....but I doubt if it will change the militant new leadership's point of view eusasmiles.zip

Unfortunately York echoes of other now delimited places

sirs in response to the thinker whom it has to be said has become a sad shadow of him former self perhaps regretting his own personal choices he is now trying to use this forum to denegrate the new regime who it has to be said were voted in legitmately at the y.t.p.a meeting which the thinker (alias mr rowley )whom has now started talking to himself in the third person for some reason !! knowing full well that the council officials are always on this site he is trying to blame everyone else for his own failure and ineptitude he has been played like a prize pilchard by the council officers whom it has to be said have held the fear of deregulation over himself as well as the rest of the so called commitee never once did so called commitee ask its own membership on any conditions that were about to be placed on the trade for there opinions unlike the new commitee whom he is calling the loony left they are open and above board and seek the concensus of ther own membership before making any desiscions. he also is repeatedly bringing into question the character of mr brown and slating him with his venomous attacks yet does not have the decency to say it to the mans face just hides behind a computer keyboard. as for the trade turning its back on him and his partner the truth of the matter is people have seen how he is trying to use the assosciation to further there new enterprise as nvq examiners and trying to promote said course with the council even using scare tactics on the news sheet and threatening that in future it would be compulsory and no longer free whilst he once was a decent bloke with good intentions the truth of the matter is he no longer has the attention he craves and is therefore becoming a sad and twisted individual who is now using this forum to scare people with the threat of deregulation not very bright when he then spouts how he is thinking of selling up !!
