The Scottish Taxi Federation is a group of likeminded people who fight for the benefit & views of its members, if you don’t pay your pennies to the cause why should they inform you of what they’ve been up to? :?: :?: :?: :?:
The only way you can change things are from within and if you personally think you could can do a better job, & bring about better results, then join an organisation like a taxi association or a Union & get likeminded people like yourself to vote you in to a position of power & prove us all wrong & then you could show us the errors of our ways, but as usual most of the trade like to shout a lot of hot air but when it comes to paying the piper & doing something about it, they are never around. Taxi drivers are good at putting the world to rights on the rank just like a lot of old fish wife’s in the steamy but don’t ask them to pay for it or lose time of at meeting doing something about it oh no, let’s just let some other fool do it for them, then as for the norm they’ll stand around decrying everything that’s been or not been achieved.
At least the Taxi Federation & the Unions are trying to change things for the better & the good for the trade as they see it, just out of curiosity what have you changed for the better that has improved the life for the average hard working taxi driver? :?: :?: :?:

No it was very worth the trip and the meeting with the divisional commander was a step in the right direction.

That's just it. The trade doesn't like to shout about it. That's where you're wrong.

What the trade likes to do is bump its gums in Canonmills, and the social clubs that are taxi ranks, and then having vented their spleen, leave it to the unrepresentative bodies to do what they will with the trade, protect their own vested interest and do so in secret.

It's no accident that the trade learns what's happening only after it has happened.

The HCLCG meetings are held in secret. By the time what has been discussed hits the streets, the reports have been done, the decision has been taken and whatever the vested interests have decided has been enacted.

That's some democratic process.

Our problem is that having been stiffed by the corrupt politicians and trade greedos and control freaks, the trade's mindset is to bend over and ask for more.

This process can't be joined. It has to be smashed and defeated by the most vociferous campaign possible. These people can't be reasoned with because the know exactly what they are doing.

And what they are doing is to maintain the highest degree of control in their interests, and their interests alone.

Not mine. Not the Skull's. NOT YOURS.
