the fact is that a PH ops licence needs to be issued by the governing area, no-one arguing that point

if mr bolton wants to operate in bolton then he needs a bolton address/office/base, no-ones saying he cant live elsewhere

or at least, thats how i (and most) see it
he can have a VEHICLE plate and DRIVER badge wherever he lives?

or he could go exec/7 days/limo and not bloody bother....

Yeah your right he can live wherever he wants. He can have his Ops licence wherever he wants. If his Ops licence is in area A then he can't use a PH from area B to do the work. That would be like me being licenced on the Wirral and working for a company in Liverpool, no can do

I can't understand why we are even debating such a basic requirement especially when it has been done to death time and time again on TDO. Quite frankly, apart from a newcomer, anyone working under P/H conditions who fails to understand the basic requirements attached to all three of their private hire licenses is in my opinion complacent at the very least.

Any person acting in the capacity of a hackney carriage and private hire reprensentative who does not know the basic requirement of private hire operation in this particular respect should quite frankly be ashamed of themselves. I'm sorry to say that but that is my opinion.
