Could be useful if your council insists on a WAV

They all appear to be rear loading vehicles. Aren't some councils against rear loading vehicles :?

I can't see them being very useful on a rank either

Quite rightly so there against them dangerous vehicles.....I presume the disabled person has enough to worry about without being put in the crumple zone of a vehicle.

I dont know of any rear loading cab ranks....but perhaps someone can tell me different?

They use the Sharon type in Aberdeen along with the doblo and the same in Dundee.
I could see a use for one as a Ph possible for a hospital contract, or old folks homes

Dundees stipulation is that every wav must have a low volume certificate or european whole approval certificate. They have a list of wavs that they would allow to be tested. They do not allow the ford connect as they say there is not enough headroom yet many other areas have them.Dundee seem to have made up there own rules on wavs .Its funny some operators are allowed to put on doblos and some not.Any new licence has to be european whole approval

It doesn't make much difference, since wheelchair users hardly ever use a rank. Most of them phone for a cab.

If most of them phone for a cab then surely it is more important for PH to have WAV's than it is for HC :?

My Sharan has the wheelchair space where the two rear seats would normally be in any other Sharan/Galaxy/Alhambra.
Handy for luggage but never had a wheelchair user in it yet.
