I can't understand why we are even debating such a basic requirement especially when it has been done to death time and time again on TDO. Quite frankly, apart from a newcomer, anyone working under P/H conditions who fails to understand the basic requirements attached to all three of their private hire licenses is in my opinion complacent at the very least.

Any person acting in the capacity of a hackney carriage and private hire reprensentative who does not know the basic requirement of private hire operation in this particular respect should quite frankly be ashamed of themselves. I'm sorry to say that but that is my opinion.

JD

the confusion arises because a (say) bury resident CAN plate PH for bolton, IF they run through a bolton ops base, but not if he wishes to just work from home, meaning he would need a bury badge/plate/ops licence to do the same (bolton) work.

2 distant LAs were happy for me to PAY to plate in there areas so long as it was thru an ops base in thier area....the keyword being PAY....kerching

money talks, etc

BTW, the "Bolton HC plate" option assumes his vehicle would be compliant (by colour, type, etc) and a plate existed he could have, but couldnt he then use phone divert options and still end up as a bolton car, with no bolton base?.....

There is no confusion. You can live where you like. Everything else has to be done in one place

Then i get questioned about helping a p/hire driver, let me say againg this association is mine, i will help who i wish were i wish when i wish, some of you have taken the views about why i not in the nta that is fine, it is not about what they say.

ask yourselfs if you nta knowing the membership of this association, and remember i told them what would happren, and that they would be piad in full for every one of my members who wished to join them.

which would have been arround £3000. ask your selfs would you have waited and seen if the members paid.

you dont need to beleve it but i was there.

any way thank you all for your help it was wellcomed. how the spelling get better.

charlie, whilst im with you on a few things, you cant start an association and expect anyone to join when its going to be a dictatorship, and if no-one joins, its hardly a user or trade group is it?

how many paid up members have you got?

None now there is no weekley or monthly or yearley membership fee i am free, the only money was for NTA if members wished to jion.

They needed to get rid of me for some reason they new all about the sub's it would have been fine this year.

I see......and what part of the NTA rules does 'would have been fine' cover?

Then of course we should bring into question the structure of your association. Which does appear to be straight from the Robert Mugabe school of associations.

you can bring into question anything you like, members come to me by what other members tell them, i did not ask for preston, Preston ask me i did not ask bury they ask me, i did not ask Blackburn they asked me, i did not ask Burnley they ask me.

And your successes are?

But that aint the point....the apparent structure of your association is false....it isnt an association.

Is that it one man one vote there is no more structure to it than that?

All I need now is how Charles is structured but I really can't see how it can be any different unless of course his members have no vote. To be fair though by all accounts they haven't paid anything so they should expect nothing in return
