in a town near me they have what they call taxi marshalling schemes operating in this borough from the street and we believe this does not breach any laws.

What that is is some p/hire base will put a man out a club with a radio and if they come and ask the one with the radio can we have a p/hire they get on the radio, and get one or they can have about up to 7 cars parked out side the club waiting for passingers. the counil say there is nothing wrong with what they are doing, we say they is and have taken acttion. is it wrong are we right.

Charles I think it would be a good idea to point interested taxi drivers in the general direction of an association that actually already knows what it is doing. Perhaps one that can command a little respect from the council may help, but, that is just my opinion :D

I wasn't thinking of any particular association just one that knows what it is doing, if for no other reason, than the drivers deserve proper representation
