Well that must be right then, I'm telling you what I said came out of the mouth of an Iraqi, and he said it to me I didn't ask him, maybe he was fibbing, and prior to that I thought they were Muslim's tbh, but consider this Christianity started in the Middle East, it's not the English idea that a lot of ppl think it is, which brings us full circle to the St George post earlier in the thread, and lets face it the CIA wouldn't lie to any of us would they?

But in the days of Christ wasn't the Middle East under occupation as part of the Roman Empire? And early Christianity was just a tiny Jewish sect, which was in turn probably small compared to the indigenous population, so that tells us nothing about the present day.

And Islam didn't even exist until a few hundred years after that!!

Compare and contrast the Middle East in these two maps - I suspect the Iraqi was pulling your leg.

There are a lot of christians in the middle east and surrounding areas but the vast majority are muslim. I do know that in Egypt they live quite happily side by side and other then the dress for the women you wouldn't know the difference. I don't think religion is ever a problem until it is used for political gain and power

Really, So why is there a need for all the security out there. I have just brought a couple back from Heathrow who have been out there for a holiday and they could not believe that they needed an armed escort where ever they travelled.
