What have your insurance company said? Surely they must be on your side?
But if they don't proceed, or just say it's knock for knock, then your best avenue is the small claims court. It will cost you about £50, but the person who lied on their claims form, will then have to lie before a judge.
And despite what we think about judges, they know when someone is lying to them.

My insurance company have been crap. i rang them on the day of the accident and all they did was to give me telephone numbers to ring. i had to find my own garage to do the work. i had to ring around different companies for loss of earnings i even had to sort my own replacement car while the work was being done.
the bang was back in april and the letter i got of them last friday was the first paper contact about the incident since it happened. imy policy is due for renewal soon but i dont think i'll be going back to them again.
i'm with Chaucer insurance by the way.
there are dozens of companies who provide legal help a replacement taxi, and fix up your taxi no win no fee, they fall over themselves to get to you.
always always after a bang visit accident and emergency at the hospital, the reccord is invaluable, but always be cautious of over exadurating
one of my dear colleagues did just this and one day he suffered a bad injury and his payout was heavily reduced because of his over zealous claims of the past.
it pays to be honest.
