Deary me Edinburgh boy.

You seem to be confusing me with someone who gives a feck. :D

Whatever happens, the council's Pyramid selling scheme can only collapse under its own weight - the system has to fail - either by a political turnaround or simply because it is no longer sustainable under the law - Dublin being a case in point - 90K a plate.

The clock is ticking . . . .

Oh and btw, this recession has fecked everything into a cocked hat

There's always a tipping point and the council knows it. As long as no plates are issued the pressure to pull the plug grows. Anyone buying in for the long term will never get the chance to sell out in the future. He might not even get the chance to pay it off.

Here's the biggest laugh. If we hadn't started all of this in the first place there is every likelihood that plates would have been issued. At least those on the Interested Parties List (IPL). Now the council can't move to issue any plates without bringing down the whole system.

So you see dug, when the council do pull the plug we will be there to claim the credit, and rightly so.

Btw,

The whole thing is just one big council inspired pyramid selling scheme. And the only reason you support it is because you may need a mug to buy you out in the future.

You will always be shi*ting it waiting for the axe to fall dug.

I enjoy your fear.

And the next General Election?

One MSP, and one MP, as well as a local councillor contacted us for more info on the subject of restricting licences.

I think it was Jim's letters about these wee lassies getting raped that did it.

Crime and Public safety are always vote winners.

does anyone know why crt and city put in objections to all applications?
dont get me wrong  i know why they object, they just dont like it up em.

but why do they do it, do they believe it will have some impact on the cooncils decision?
do they believe if it did influence the council, that it would somehow have some legal standing. :?: :?: :?:

Can anyone explain how it is that companies can use their own money, and their own private information, to seek to deny business competitors the right to operate, to even begin to operate?

How does this sit with fair trading and company law?

Now, it seems reasonable that companies can lobby politicians on these matters, but that is done within the council structures that are denied entry to everyone, the HCLCG for example.

And it is reasonable that trading companies can compete with other trading companies. But doesn't interfering in the applications of business to operate their business contravene business ethics and law?

And how can the council possibly be seen to be acquiescing with this? Doesn't such favouritism, to existing business, contravene the terms and spirit of competition law? Or is it that government can get away with this?

How is it, that councils can be seen to be supporting vested interest in this way?

Anyone know about this?

The piont is that the local elections are three years away and unless the Tories are going to win control of Edinburgh  In fact no one party will gain control of the city due to the new voting system so can't see much change in the council's policy and can't see the tories having much of a say or for that matter a change of support for the status quo :D
