According to our council they make a loss of £46000 a year on taxi licensing  i.e. the cost of 2 office girls and a part time LO adds up to over £500000 a year apparently !

And if anyone challenges them on their lax licensing conditions the standard answer is that they can't deny someone the right to work even if they have been stripped of their badge by another council !!

and as for wayne the pain oh dear have FACT found out about his little sideline in pirate dvd's oops !!

Well today matters escalated I have now been BANNED from the taxi rank on the orders of Wayne the payne and other drivers of silver cabs with a string of abuse and even text messages ordering me out of town !!

The councils attitude is send them a letter and the licencing committee will debate it and decide if any action is needed in the mean time i've been told to go to the police.

so now I'm stuck with having to rely on phone work only the bullies have won and the council has made it clear that theres nothing they will do about after 20v years in the trade it looks as if I'm being forced out it seems that honest cabbies ain't welcome round here not by the council or anyone.

If you ask one of the local hoodies if they would like a few quid for 5 mins work they would bit your arm off
get them to ram his cab with an old banger that most of them have lying about  :D

That's dead sensible that Skip it'll really calm the situation down. The council should be doing more.

Do you have any evidence of all this?

But the finger would be pointed at edders.

And it just aint wayne now is it.....theres a few of them at it.

Have you thought about squaring up to the b*stard....if he punches you...he'll lose his badge....if he doesnt he'll back down.

why not put a daily report into your enforcement officer, and copy it to the licensing board?

might not stop him, but surely they can't ignore a written submission.

If you have got text messages, you should be able to get the police to act. Text messages can't be sent without the senders number being displayed so they should be traceable.

UPDATE

1) Police consider this too minor to get involved
2) The council says it is outside their remit i.e. they can only act if a paying customer has been affected
3) Things certainly have escalated Wayne the pain has been busy spreading more lies and deceit I have started getting flak from other quarters

It looks like the only way forward is to sell my house and start a very expensive civil lawsuit i have been advised that it will take about £300000 to bring this to court
