We have a weird system, the council gives short term contracts and the passenger transport tenders for it in due course.

We all have 3 year contracts for the lovely children, with an option for another 2 years, if they haven't been killed by then.

My nice new Merc. lol.

Today, I reversed it into a hanging sign that crashed right through the back window!

I have to be philosophical about such things. If its a taxi, it will suffer some mistreatment, if not by the passengers, then by me! I came through East London the other night, and, unlike south of the river where they have streetloads of speeding cameras, in East London its all speed humps! Imagine what that does to my suspension when I am in a hurry. :)

if a kid on the council contract causes damage, then they have to be supervised by an escort in the future, but as we are taxis, and it is not on the tariff card it is our pidgeon.

I can't believe that you haven't got some sort of damage rate on your tariff card.

If not for the kids, then the spewers.

yes we have a soiling charge you are correct, never thought of using that FOR ACTUAL DAMAGE?

It all depends on the wording. But even if you think the wording makes a damages claim awkward, you can always change it at the next fare review.

As long as the amount is not changed, then it should go through without any problem.
