 Post subject: Is this the norm

I have just received information that i requested under the freedom of information.I asked Dundee city council how many private hire have been reported to the council in the last 12 months and what offences were committed,also what punishment did they receive.below is a list of the answers


1) 7
2) Picking up without being pre-booked
3)5 suspensions, 1 warning, 1 no action

Is this the norm or do you think they got of lightly.My own opinion is they should have been prosecuted through the courts.

That's 000000000000.0000000002% of the correct figure reported ! The Council have got to make it look like they're slightly interested :cry:
Try Tayside Police Tone...They'll not even have a figure to give you...

All depends what the council's enforcement code says. I would imagine that have a twice and your out policy. :wink:
