There are some eastern Europeans but not as many as you would think , A lot of the drivers did not get badges when they applied by themselves because of there criminal record. But for some strange reason 203020 where able to get them there badges. There is also the street test that drivers who could barely speak English past. And i kid you not the first thing many of these drivers asked was when you entered one of their cars was "whats your post code".They also have to sign a contract to work for 203020 for a year, if they get them through there test. They also have a 1500 pound excess to pay if they have a crash.

Ask yourself why the cab inspector is on a crack down right now you did see the open letter she sent out very interesting makes you mind wonder what the real message is :?: :?: :?:
There is a wind of change coming to the Edinburgh market place and you don’t even see it and iam not talking about the MASTER PLANE either.

Here is a Fact for you and that is a lot of PH company’s here have their own office motors they rent out and they don’t have a problem doing that either and please note iam not suggesting for a min that they are up to no good but it does go to show that you can buy and plate as many of your own motors and rent them out with no problems so the same could apply if the taxi trade was opened.

certainly doesnt sound like you have very good quality controls and even less enforcement.

That is one of the problems we are trying to get sorted out,the street test has been made much more difficult and in the 5 months the new test has been going only two have past so far.We have also manage to get rid of the previous cabs officer and they are now working weekends.I also think because we now have SNP in admin we will not see much favoritism going to 203020.
I would also suggest the idiots are the 203020 hacks who sit on official ranks and watch 203020 phv illegally plying for hire at a yard across from two night clubs.

look o and o
if youre quality controls are so low and youre drestricted.
then yes youre fecked you might as well take the cheapest option and go drive for don mctavish.

or you could lobby for better controls.
youre call not mine.

but if you think rerestriction is gonna help then youre sadly mistaken.

arent they(203020)also then in breach of quite a few employment law's

i dont know for sure.but it wouldnt take much to find out.

just make sure you dont end up sleeping with the fishes

Ali T i think you are right about employment law and their have been one or two who have not been bullied into making any payments but it does not stop they owner of this company making threatening calls.

Yes it takes a lot of time 8 years to be precise we have done all that you have mentioned and more.I would like to think that our problems with this company and the labour admin had a big say on SNP taken over the admin. We had given SNP our support and they have said that we got a raw deal from the previous labour admin. So fingers crossed we might see some changes.
