For those who have not seen it I posted this on another part of the forum some time ago - this is the part that Cabs Direct can advertise what they like - and then to deny any accuracy of their website advertising

How does that statement hold up in court? If they are advertising a vehicle inaccuratly that is against the trades discription act isn't it.

I think its a disclaimer. They are saying that if you find a BST vehicle on their forecourt they didnt realise it & are selling it in good faith. The nasty previous owner must have done it, we would never stoop that low!

I think that the act is meant to protect a company against genuine mistakes, i.e a bank means to advertise a 5% interest rate account, but it appears in print at 25% obviously that is a mistake and could have serious ramifications for the said company. However you will get scum bags that will hide behind that knowing that courts are expensive and most are unlikely to take it that far. They also know that the decision could potentially go their way as no doubt they have some fine upstanding lawyers working for them, who have advised them as to how far they can go.

But! We have the ultimate weapon - catch me once and you will never get a chance to do it again.

Spread the gospel brothers, spread the gospel.
