We use mercury, when I was controlling I could clear the driver from the office and give him a job to run onto.

That can be done with Autocab too.

IF YOU CLEAR YOUR METER/SYSTEM BEFORE YOU ARE FREE ARE YOU NOT CHEATING YOUR FELLOW COLLEAGUES. UNFAIR WORKING IN MY OPINION

It is very noticeable that if all involved, drivers and controllers, play the game, everybody gets their fair share of work. It's down to management to keep things above board and eliminate cheating. With robust disciplinary procedures for drivers and staff, we have just about managed it!!!!

And since when has any taxi firm been that well run it can manage that??!!

The Auriga system we had, before this nonsense, at least allowed decent drivers the opportunity to plan ahead somewhat and use their aptitude for the job, gained through experience. Autocab takes any skill out of the job, and as a result decreases the earnings of decent drivers.
Auriga came to chester, they said that it was a fair system and tha controller had no control over which drivers got the jobs     . Then one day I turned off the Auriga & just listened to the radio only[something one would never normally do] You should of heard the cream jobs being given out by the ops to the favoured drivers....you may know which firm from previous posts!!! Feeding goes on in every taxi company. Some fed jobs are for no-jobs and that is understandable but when it is on that scale you have to wonder why drivers put up with so mush cra*p.

Hi can some one tell me how you bid for a job on autocab, they set it up on our system but failed to tell any one how to do it, or they may have told some.
any help will be appreciated.

Just make sure you have the bid screen open. When a job appears you wish to go for, highlight it with either the green key or the f4 or you can just touch the job onscreen, then repeat. Basically double click it. Whoever bids the quickest gets the job. Simple :-)
