Nope, mines been 1 driver OD since I got it, it's not seen a circuit since then either, I take minimal amounts out of it tbh, I use it provide me with bill money and a few beers, I wouldn't rent it out, and it came my way because of bad drivers, 8 weeks the night driver missed his payin and managed to bash both front and rear of the car and lose the topsign, final straw was when the day driver rear ended a truck, so the in the pipe deal was done that day, plus the seller was my circuit owner for 11 years previously so I think he wanted me to have it tbh.
you use it to provide you with beer money.
as for the council not advocating plate for profits........you are joking right?
the terms of the act clearly state that plates are non transferable.
the council are supposed to uphold the letter and spirit of that act.
what they do instead is allow plates to be held in the name of a company and allow the transfer or reissue of that plate when the company changes hands.
is this in the spirit of the act?
they do this under the guise of it allowing operators to retire??? then why not just let them retire???and hand the plate back??
they know full well they are being transfered for huge amounts of cash.
they also deny that they are worth any money, what kind of ppl are they, they put ppl at huge risk because they know the can take the plate back whenever they like.
this is local goverment rubber stamping blackmarketeering
open your eyes man
There's no shame in making a profit, it's just a really dirty trick way you've achieved it, the council doesn't advocate plate for profit, it advocates not having many units ratios to demand.
again tell me what dirty tricks ive used??
ive used the system as many others do
thier system
the only differance is im being honest about whats really happening.
See there is a difference between a Taxi and PHC, the Taxi relies on ppl who want a ride right now, the PHC is supposed to be for ppl who don't mind waiting for the car to arrive.
Over the years it's become a big issue if anyone has to wait longer than 5 minutes for a cab to arrive, yet locally those that started that fashion have moved on and left a legacy of ***t, and the reason for it is they were crap on the desk and couldn't shift the work in an efficient manner, but the fact is if ppl are waiting cabby is busy and earning, if cabby is waiting he's unprofitable, no other industry has this pizza timeout factor to deal with, ppl wait in banks, pubs and clubs and say nothing about the wait or the price but as soon as they want a cab out comes the old moaner.
ppl moan about everything pubs included
As for granting without objection, if they granted you one like that they'd have to grant all one also, pretty soon you'd have plenty of extra cabs and not enough punters, this is the point I make to you Ali, what you've actually done is to damage the fabric of the trade, you can't see it, but eventually you'll sit there on a rank for 3 hours and wonder where the punters are, and you can be happy in the knowledge that someone else has acted the same way you have and made it untenable.
no no no
we have good quality controls up here.and a knowledge test of sorts.
the only losers are the barons and the current owners who would lose there drivers or have to reduce the rental.
Tbh Ali, I could come up north and within 2 years I could finish every cab and firm off with what I know, I could also do it locally, but I look at certain others who've played the trade and I don't want the hatred that is felt towards them, the old saying is he who laughs last laughs loudest and I can assure you you won't be getting the last laugh, not in this game anyway, time will prove me right, and that wasn't a threat it was a prediction, I've seen em come and go over the years, and mark my words you will regret your small victory in the long run.
again it not a popularity contest...i dont care what massa thinks.
some will stand for there right and say this is me this is what i stand for
others clearly wont...faslies being a classic example of that.
£350 is a bit over the top, but then again if no one drives for them they will have to drive it themselves or go bust, I don't like barons either tbh, they are a liberty on the trade, but why should guys like me suffer because of their greed
thats where youre wrong because the driver has no choice or at least very little choice.the owner can sqeeze them dry,and they do.
and yes why should part timers like you suffer eh bloody plate barons stopping you making youre beer money an hour earlier...total liberty it is
but dont start me on the part time brigade...yer no a fireman are yi
