my problem is warm air constantly coming through vents .
any comments or anyone had same problem if so wots the cure
its a 52 plate tx2

Heater Valve is gone m8....

I have this problem as well dont mind in the winter but just now its toasting..tx2 also...

The heater valve is located behind the centre consul by your left leg, they're quite expensive for what they are and a real pain to replace.... driver's seat out and strip the centre consul 3-4 hours to replace.....But.. if you want to cheat you can cut the hose at the back of the engine and put in a on and off valve... then operate it by hand..

My heater matrix was replaced the week after I picked up the cab last year as it blew hot all the time.

I was sat there for 5 hours whilst they replaced it, and the clowns let all the fluid drain into the 'bottom' of the cab so I thought I had a coolant leak for the next week.

My friend Mark had his done at C&S Taxi's last month, it came to £350 and took, as Mr T points out, about 4 hours.

They did tell me it was an 'upgraded kit', whatever that means?

The TX1 was a simple valve on a hose that even I managed to replace when it seized.

Sounds a bit like marriage.....you either cheat or operate it by hand..
The latter being the cheaper option of course....

Just in case anybody is interested . the T X 2 has a water cooler built into the oil filter head and these have a habit of fracturing which in turn sends water into your oil, you can cheat with this by simply taking the water hoses off either side and fitting a piece of copper pipe with a couple of Jubilee clips.... it will get you out of trouble...

but wot would be the diff in cost in having a new valve fitted and cheating the way mr t said

forget the new valve, a complete waste of money, had mine done last year, with the new valve, as hot as ever this year, complete waste of £350, TX2 suffer terribly, gotta live with it i'm afraid

what about the cutting hose and putting on of valve in does that work cause am sweating ma bs of

you'd have to put a u bend in the feed and return to make the circuit, that would bypass the matrix altogether, thus no heat, and return it in the winter,m this heat wave will soon pass!! lol

Check the heater ctrl cable is secured tightly on the heater ctrl valve.
