Ok just to get back on topic, and to confuse matters, spoke to the optician yesterday, regarding the group 2 medical, she says i will pass the the eye sight test to renew my HGV licence, BUT because the taxi medical uses the eye sight standard as if i was a new applicant i will fail that even with corrected vision i could fail.
So do i try to sort this with taxi licensing before my licence expires, or do i put the medical in and hope for the best?

Maybe so CC but only in one eye, the other is better than average, and no they are not saying i shouldnt drive, you can drive a car with only 1 eye, and you can drive a truck or a bus with 1 eye, they are not really new rules, been out for a while not sure when it was changed.
Been driving HGVs since 1988ish and not had 1 accident, and would be the same if i had a bus licence.
So should i lose my taxi licence, and yes Sussex i will do everything to keep my licence i dont want to go back to driving trucks again, i like my life now.
