I have spent some time looking though the posts of this forum, and found somthing that puzzles me.

I have seen some post from arround i think 2003 say JD as passed on.

yet there is still a JD on this forum.

Are you sure you are not reading the date that the posters joined Charles? I believe that by coincidence, a few of the posts were by people who joined TDO in 2003. The announcement was indeed made about JD, I believe by Alex, within the last week.

The loss of JD on this forum (and to the trade) is a sad one. He had a level of knowledge on legal matters that few could even aspire to and whilst I would disagree with his views on certain matters, he deserved the respect of us all for the work he put in and advice/information offered to anyone who asked.

I think the loss to a certain solicitor will hit him in his pocket.... after all it would seem he did get a great deal of work from the council's every time they went to court .... mind you what are friends for....
