None the wiser and no more confused than before. I am happier knowing that people cared to send me one so I didn't feel left out :D

The BBBBBBB...ETC...ETC...BBBBBPHA... or whatever it is currently called, sponsored by new Rowntrees Randoms (if you've seen the advert, you'll understand, if not, just read on, it's not really worth explaining!).

Charles, before this thoroughly enjoyable thread (???!!!) ends up getting locked like the others were, I'll ask what is highly likely to be a rhetorical question. Do you ever actually answer a straight question with a CLEAR answer, that clears all the mystery up?

Every time you are challenged, you resort to childish comments in return (although to be fair, you have also had plenty directed at you too). For goodness sake, if you think you can beat the other "mob" in Preston, stop talking and actually do it....the same goes with whatever beef you have with CC and the NTA. It's getting mighty boring hearing the same rubbish over and over again.

If my understanding is correct, you have been "active" in Preston for between 18 months to 2 years now. All this time has passed and you're still fighting each other, instead of those who are common foes?! Mr Selley from the rival Association, that posted earlier, seems to claim to be happy to "walk away" and be left alone. If he has done something wrong, or possibly owes your members money, as I think you suggested in a previous thread, then take him on and good luck to you, if not, please move on. Equally, if CC has defamed you in either libelous or slanderous ways, prove it and put it all to bed.

The way you are responding, makes you look like someone with little actual evidence to support your cause, desperately trying to get back at those who "outed" you, rather than accept responsibility for your own actions. Think about all the valuable time you spend going over old ground that you could instead use to help your members

Also Charles, you never answered any of Toots questions (in previous threads) about how you fund your Association, which you claim to be a "free association". Can you then confirm that there is absolutely no payment made by your members to you or your association, either directly or indirectly? Can you also confirm that when you help people with parking charges etc, that no payment whatsoever is made to you for this service, even if successful? If so, you need to receive either a Registered Charity Number....or be given a Sainthood!

Finally, if you are proven to be correct at the end of your many battles, many TDO members will be surprised, but most will hold their hands up and say "fair play to you", we were wrong to doubt you....BUT....that still doesn't mean that you have handled your battles with the quiet dignity and effectiveness that would have probably been wiser.

i havesent you a pm

Thank you for your post, and i will try to aniswere some of the points for you.

1) I agree i should have not posted on here some of the things i have, its not realy about the NTA.

2) About fees my association as been going for about 4 years the only money we took, if any was for the nta and passed on, or paid from my own pocket to make up the £200.

3) when some one joins they sign for no weekly, mouthly, or yearley subs.

4) Parking tickets no charge is made for this service, at may point if they wish to pay some thing we ask them to pay to parkingappeals ltd leeds.

5) information i get calls from all over most day i do not charge for any advice given.

6) toots not realy her foult, i should not have posted some thing on here that i new i could not answere until its shorted ie Preston)

all i will say its not going to go away till it is.

7) doesn't mean that you have handled your battles with the quiet dignity and effectiveness that would have probably been wiser.[/quote]

i have neaver been quiet/ dignity not my strong point, effectiveness oh i am that, tell it as it is that me get the job done why others just talk about it for day, oh yes mr council thank you for your 10p rise, thank you for puting council fees up, what you puting on 30cabs not a problem, to maney of that type of reps in this job, well thats not me.

Thank you for the answers Charles. Like buses, you wait a while for one, then three (or more!) all come together! If your answers are accurate and honest, then I would also say is was better to place them into the public domain as you have, for all to see.

Personally, in the absence of evidence to the contrary, I will have to take you at your word over the answers and information given and say "fair enough". The mathematics do not add up to me, but I guess you could be a lottery winning taxi philanthropist, so as I said...fair enough.

If anyone else has evidence that would contradict your answers, then let them now present it and we can start this debate again. Who knows....as you have been in such a "giving" mood  , they may even have a couple more questions for you.

And let's be fair, some good has come of this thread....toots has received several pm's because of it and now has apparently managed to get rid of the belief that no-one cared about her posts. Now, if only the rest of us could find that level of self-belief about ourselves too! Do we have a "therapy/ counselling forum" on TDO?! :D

Thank you, I have spent any years as a hackney driver like a lot of drivers have seen the cab trade go down hill, the trade is its worst enney its divived, and most dont think beond today.

money dose not interest me at all, i am fully set up here, now dont get me wrong its not easey and there or times ends dont meet.

i am still a bagde holder in Bolton, but have know intrest in driveing most of the work is done there, by E-mail, post, Fax, mostley e-mail and Fax.

for the members who have e-mail send information to them by e-mail.

and yes we are happey in what we do, i have a vast amont of very good contacts who i can ask for information if needed.

there are a lot of good pepole in this trade, and theres allso some who just look after no 1, who say they work for the trade i have seen it, its not for me my help is for my members not for me, i have never benifited from what i do as a rep and done it to the best of my abillitey.

that is why the most of my members stay with me, and love evry minte of it. i offered help to the nta but was and is seen as rocking the boat.

its not easey but i continue to grow, we have set a linit as to how maney members we will have but not there yet.

Whilst I admire anybody who gives their time and effort for free and for not furthering of their own ego I find it increasingly iritating that you cannot manage a thread without mentioning the NTA. I also find it hard to believe that the NTA would consider you as a person who 'rocks the boat' perhaps more like an irritating tic that just won't go away.

If you paid the NTA why do they keep insisting that you haven't paid them?

Anyway all that aside thank you for your PM and for encouraging others to PM too  If you think you can convert a 100% wav policy council to saloon vehicles give us a shout :D

Toots what i said was that some of it was paid, but take you point about going on about it, what i cant get my head round is you seem to be over proective of cc and the NTA when i post, and that comes over as you know more than you should, that would mean your is mother, wife, or a member, or very much in there confidence.

as some of your posts you could have not know about. but you are good keep posting you neaver know i may tell you all about what is going on, you have only been given a tip bit up to now.

but i am blaming you so dont think in any way i am it is not you, but we needed to know were all information was coming from that i now know.

just one post some weeks ago on here and it all fell into place for us.

you do some very good posts, let me say this never mind what other councils are doing it what good for were every you are, and the public, council are trying to bring in the same rules for every were that is what is going on round here AGMA, rules with out any repersention from the trade or others round here.

i dont know your problems but send me pm and i will give you a view there are one or two towns round here that still have saloons as hc and dont seem willing to change in fact in one town the public will not get into a tx or E7 warlk right passed and get into the cars so i am told.

Hi Charles, erm, didn't you charge your members from Preston a £20 annual charge in your first two years there? I know I was asked to pay £20 to join.

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but I've just found this forum while searching for a taxi related phone number.

Regards, Roger.
