The vultures started to circle today. Well, one did at least.

An accredited taxi-driver trainer (whatever one of those is) trying to leaflet drivers with an offer to train drivers in their own vehicle, by watching you drive first, and then showing you the error of your ways by driving your cab himself.

He claims to be "A diamond accredited Taxi-driver trainer. edi. NVQ Assessor RPVD.)

But as he did not know that he could not drive my vehicle without insurance or a Lincoln drivers badge, I think he needs training. I told him to 4cough.

Scum of the earth, these NVQ/Driver trainers.

I asked one on the rank last week if I needed public liability for my cab? He said no of course you don't, F***IN half whit. What diamond accreditation did he take? Half an hour in a local social club and a bit of paper to say he's got a diamond after his name??

...looks like The DSA will get their wish, (at the third attempt in the last ten years) and DSA driving tests are now on the agenda.

Question, for anyone who has taken the DSA test.

The DSA in it's (third) presentation to the licensing committee, claimed that successful candidates would get a discount of (up to!!!!!!) 25% on their cab insurance. my broker says only one on his panel of insurance. Anyone out there in taxi land ever got such a discount?

I apologise to anyone out there who suffered trauma after hearing me waffling on on Radio Lincolnshire, or even worse, saw me on Calendar or Look North.

And do failed candidates of the DSA driving test have their badges suspended untel they do pass?

For new applicants....I agree.

For existing?.......naaa

I do believe hell will freeze before you do an NVQ  and they don't pay YOU to do it, it just doesn't cost you anything which is what I'm sure you meant :D

As regards your excellence self praise is no recommendation
