No it is the market that has been held weekly since before the domesday book was written. The farmers market, which doesn't really have any farmers selling produce, is on a different day.

I think you'll find they were all farmers since before the domesday book and the farmers market is just a gimmick

Yes I know that. It is something of a quirk in our town. The main market which is where the farmers buy and sell their cattle and other produce is run by the town estate that has a charter going back to before the domesday book to run markets in the town. The council dreamed up the farmers market when it was the "in thing" but there are hardly any proper farmers who use it but it keeps the council happy.

No honestly, you can come along and buy your very own cow or sheep. Or if you prefer you can buy a rabbit or a budgie.
At christmas you can go down and bid for your christmas dinner. Mind you they do come live so you have to be able to do the business yourself.

You can buy more than one if you like. Think of it more as an appetiser. :D

I think you have to start with a budgie and work your way up to a parrot. I am not 100% sure but I think they are only certain breeds of parrot that you can have whilst you have the use of both legs.
