Occasionally, that's you running into something or something running into you.

I understand that popular opinion agrees that it is something you should 'hate.' :P

No it's a 'clonk' not a 'bang' or an 'ouch' It happens when I'm moving slowly and having to keep control of the clutch in 1st gear :?

I had no choice I was in a traffic jam on the motorway and also on our base you have to move slow towards the front of the queue in case you run a deadhead over

I would get the steering and suspension checked. It could be a ball joint.

Clonks not too bad ..... I wouldn't worry until you hear clonk, bonk ..... that's when it gets bad, really bad ..... when you get the bonk after the clonk.

And if you get a clonk followed by a bonk & you reply with an Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh! ..... then you're really f............

That's when you have to have the maintenance done & the servicer will more than likely tell you it's an end (on the track rod), or a bearing or a mounting or even a bush. But as there are loads of these on every vehicle, who would know which end of the creation to start at ..... but the servicer would.

It all sounds potentially very rude to me, in a financially sense that is!!

The last time I had a noise like this the whole subframe was loose and initially the dealer that sold me the vehicle said it was in my head  I'm inclined to think that a 'bonk' will soon follow the 'clonk' as a few of the lads here with the same vehicle had a similar problem and it was something to do with the gear stick.

I wouldn't normally use 'bonk' as a descriptive word for my vehicle noises for obvious reasons

I can see a new vehicle appearing on the horizon, perhaps a nice new Pug 308 Cabiolet

You won't get that licensed for PH!!

Then again it depends on your LA. Try the LA that license Smart cars, they might license it as Hackney; you never know.
