There is a council down south with a dick of a licencing officer who insists that only lti are used but I cannot remember what council it was

Isn't Nottingham another council that insists on LTI vehicles.

And they MUST be Sherwood Green in colour, with the Nottingham Coat of Arms on the front doors.

Does the E7 come in Sherwood Green?

They used to do but they can put the E7 on now, it still has to be green to associate the city with Robin Hood even though he didn't live in Nottingham.

Here's hoping.

The LTDA have been calling for more choice for many years.

Will we finally get a Cab for under the £25k price tag? [-o<

You'll need £6k a year for new clutches.

Not if you want an auto gearbox & all the whistles, flutes & trombones included you won't.

More like close to £30K

Your not far off the mark there with the price, that's just for the model as it stands now, add on the auto box and it will shoot up to close to £35k.

I see you can pick up a low mileage second hand one for around £15K though.

A disposable taxi? Novel idea.

If they do enter the London Market at £30K plus for a vehicle that doesn't have the turning circle or an automatic box, they ain't going to sell many.

Simples.

Perhaps the London market will bring the price right down with greater sales capacity?

The LTDA don't rely on LTI advertising to publish 'TAXI', they never said LTI couldn’t advertise, but they (LTI) threw their toys out of the pram when all the stories about the TX2 started coming in.

They still cover the TX4 problems, and I'm sure when the Mercedes stories start coming in around the 2-3 year mark, they'll cover those as well.

We don't need the Glasgow Minicab Centre to keep us going.
