Who has screwed up the page width on this thread with their post?

Please edit it, if you are guilty.

London guy's need to see the site in all its panoramic glory.

Just live with it as soon as the web site owner sees it he will scream for it to be taken down

You've now have the result you wanted. Well done!!!

By leaving your post over-width many members on this site have commented on that fact & other members who had previously not read this thread are now becoming interested because of the increased volume of posts that are keeping the thread at the top of the forum topic.

Not a bad start for a newbie to the forum; or are you in disguise?

And very good advertising for your cause too!!!

PS. The panoramic glory is 3 inches of blank space to the right of your advert!!

I am not a techkie. How do I reduce the pic. It was sent to me that size. It is going all over London.

No disguise women can be cab driver's now you know!

Sorry about the width, my husband said that to me on our wedding night

I told you London guy's would be interested.

It's not my advert. It is Cockney Cabbies (look at Steve McNmara, page in Taxi) and RMT guy's advert. wanna minicab? give em a bell.

Bear with it, the RMT screaming will start soon and the web page will be taken down

Go into photo edit, select the 3 inches of blank panorama, delete your selected blank panorama, save the new sized photo, edit post with new sized photo.

I didn't mean gender disguise; many contributors on sites like this have multiple user names.

My dad, two uncles and a brother all green badge and this debacle has been spoken about at family gatherings

I don’t think any of them would go that far as to say the RMT run the minicab operation but the RMT are on a cover up campaign and blaming all and sundry who has the balls to mention it.

The RMT has tried to hide up that their Government Affairs Officer had an affair of another sort. His affair was that he was the minicab site owner. And had a history of helping RTL get minicabs on the radio circuit.

Obviously it is an embarrassment to them having Government Affairs Officer on minicab demos. So they go ape-shyte with anyone who dare mention it. My uncle tells me hundreds of drivers at the flyers knows of the embarrassment.

None of the above surprise's me.

As I mentioned, the RMT Taxi section is basically the LCDC from a couple of years ago.

Give it time and the in house wars will start.
Too many power hungry hotheads, mix that with socialist's and 12 copies of the Marxist Review, and you've got problems!

A message from Brother Terry.

I would like to respond to some of the debate on Chauffeur working hours.

We regard the hrs worked by many Chauffeurs to be obscene10.12 14 16 18 or indeed 20 hrs shifts are extremely dangerous to not only the Chauffeurs and their passengers, but all other road users. Unfortunately since the crooks and spivs raped the economy this scenario is becoming increasingly prevalent. The absurd bleatings of the PHB and others on this forum that they are only actually DRIVING for a small numbers of hours are totally irrelevant, the legislation requires ADEQUATE REST PERIODS these periods cannot be taken in the vehicle! and when they are are ineffective. So many drivers sleep in the vehicle and regard that as a rest period. It isn't! In London we are now becoming aware of Drivers who in reality LIVE in their vehicle, their desperation to pay their bills forces this upon them! and of course the proprietors care not for safety their only interest is PROFIT.Competition within the the industry is merely a race to charge the least, the race too longer and longer hours for less and less money, safety WHO CARES??

Research presented by ourselves and BRAKE in the House of Commons showed quite clearly that TIRED driving is MORE dangerous than DRUNK driving, yet the authorities until recently have ignored our representations. Obviously we are campaigning for a limit on working hrs because we will not tolerate DANGEROUS practices in any industry not only for our members and their customers, but of course for the public.

This industry has no morality whatsoever, with a few exceptions, an 80hr working week in any industry is ridiculous, but within a transport facility CRIMINAL. It must be stopped, and we will do all we can to ensure it is!

Some complain that restrictions will limit their earning capacity that is nonsense, universally applied and enforced legislation will INCREASE earnings of qualified Chauffeurs. For as in the OIL industry supply and demand will apply, you want it? you pay the price or go without! Given the solidarity of the Chauffeurs a 40hr working week should ensure a decent living, the only problem is unfortunately MOST Chauffeurs lack the backbone for the struggle, so now they are amongst the most poorly paid and overworked workers in the country and continuously put the safety of the public at extreme risk. At the moment there are too many Chauffeurs in the industry for the available work, the beneficiaries? the proprietors, the losers the Chauffeurs and the public so disgracefully exposed to these worst than drunk drivers! It must be stopped and the GMB policy is to stop it!

Fact the WORST judge of tiredness is the Driver him or herself. Source Loughborough University Sleep Deprivation Unit!

I wonder if the same people would do research on the reaction times between young drivers and old ones?

Each day I go to work I see old people who dont look in their rear view mirrors, or side windows and grip a steering wheel like an axe wielding maniac.

10/12 hours is obscene? :?

Depends how many days a week you do it.

By the time I drive into London, do my business and get home it's not uncommon for 12 hours to have elapsed.

I don't consider my working week to be obscene in the least.

I must see this reasearch by brake, because it must be quite old, I recall similar things being stated and researched in the late 1990's.

How on earth are they going to regulate all of this, have they a clue?

The private motorist is more of a risk, as are drunken pedestrians, lets not forget bus and HGV drivers too, who can finish their driving duties and then take their family away in their private car.

Its like trying fight water.

40 killed last year during police chases..11 killed in taxi related Incidents..some of the victims would have possibly been staggering about in the middle of the road in the darkness of wee hours rather as walking on the pavement. So why do we get so much stick when the police dont...they work shorter shifts and are so supposed to be far better trained..yet theres fewer police than HC or PH drivers yet they are involved in 4 times as many fatalities. that makes a mockery of the theory of shorter hours saving more lives.

Maybe Brake is venting there wrath at the wrong group of professional drivers.
