Not hard, I know.
But wasn't there another thread which was about ALL Taxis on York Station being members of the same company that had bid for the contract?
Has this now changed to a free for all permit scheme?
Station Taxis were appointed by GNER as being responsible for the running of the rank at York railway station, which is on private land and not an appointed rank by the City Council, they then issued 116 permits, some of these have a station radio and the staion taxis office is opposite the rank, heres another contentious issue, for the cars which do not have a radio and just pay to use the rank, if you sell the plate on, they are saying that to keep the permit who ever buys it has to agree to go on their radio circuit for six months or they will cancel the permit. They are unreal and surely not able to enforce this.
