Same happened here (Newark,Notts) last year. One of our taxis was ticketed so I went down and had a chat to the pc who issued it . he was adamant that the driver was breaking the law I showed him the seat belt regulations in black and white but he still said the driver was wrong. Anyway to cut a long story short after several phone calls and help from our LO (who knew the law, suprisingly) we got it turned over. If they are going to concentrate on one paticular offence, like seatbelts then they really should read up on it before they start pulling cars.
