Chance to design cabs of the future

Coventry-based cab maker LTI Vehicles has laid down a challenges for local school children and students - to design a taxi for the future.

LTI Vehicles, based in Holyhead Road, is calling on budding designers to create a 21st century taxi.

The black cab has recently been voted as one of Britain's greatest tourist attractions.

The "Design a Taxi" competition will be divided into three age categories 8-11, 14-16, 16- 18. The deadline for entries is December 10.

All school children and students within the Coventry and Warwickshire region are elligible to enter the competition. Prizes include £700 worth of electrical equipment for the winning schools plus additional prizes.

1, a dangerous turning circle

2, the aerodynamics of either a garden shed or a house brick

3, A really great ford diesel engine

4, no airbags

5, an outrageous price

Well you do get them in the American version, and you pay about £4,000 less for it.

Oh and you forgot ABS.

funny that. I thought they had designed by kids before.
