Your saloon don't ..... that's for sure!

That aside we have a 50/50 mix of saloon HC's and WAV HC's

Nowhere near good enough!!

100% WAV policy is the ONLY DDA acceptable policy!!

Your council is in breach!!

Can you point me to that particular section of the law please.

They actually have a step on attached to the vehicle to aid the infirm. So it becomes two small steps as opposed to one big step.

The judgment that has been delivered today by Mr Justice Blake for a start.

Don't just read the bits you want from it, read all the anecdotal evidence too.

WAVs for Captain Cab & Mr Skippy41 before you know it.

Your mate AO will use this judgment to go round all the non 100% WAV councils again, as he has done on many occasions before, to lobby them to go all WAV.

He will use this judgment to good effect ..... mark my words ..... and you know it's true!!!

Considering over the years I've owned and worked FX4's, FX4R's, FX4S's, FX4S Plus's, Fairways, TX1's, TX2's, TW200's and E7's.......you appear to be working under a false impression

Most non-LTI WAVs now have fixed side steps!!

Eh ..... when is the last time you saw a new or nearly new non-LTI WAV?

Sounds like about 4-5 years ago!!

I saw a nearly new van on the station rank in Carlisle this morning and the (I presume electric) sidestep was broken

Most owners in Brum decline the pull out or electric step option on new E7s or the like & now stipulate solid 'running-board' type steps, because of these previous problems.

And that's been for a number of years now.

The Voyager steps are the best, in design, appearance & functionality.

You mean there's problems with these steps ?????

How do the drivers get them fixed.....they aint a Peugeot part :D

I've seen pensioners and suchlike being manhandled into all types of WAV's......as I have previously stated, there is no way we are going to ever get a one size suits everybody taxi.

But is skippy has to get one, then that fills me with a sense of all being well in the world :D

If you see the Voyager one, you will see what I mean. The Peugeot E7 slide out / electric step is in my opinion quite dangerous as it only covers about 40% of the door opening width.

For that reason most drivers in Brum won't have them & choose the 'running-board' type fixed step instead.

And it's not a case of ..... But if skippy has to get one, ..... it's a case of WHEN WILL MR SKIPPY41 HAVE TO HAVE A WAV!!!!

And you for that matter Captain!!

Without a doubt the electric steps are a pain.

The fixed steps are the future. :D
