Utopia for me would be getting the job of Chief Licensing Officer in Brum.

And whoop ass I would ..... whether in a PC fashion or not!!

But I don't suppose I'd last long, doing the job right; it would be politically insensitive & they wouldn't like that.

That has to be the craziest cab fare barter ever!!

WTF did you accept a ladder in lieu of payment ..... I hope you have made good use out of it.

How did you get it home & into the shed ..... or did you accept the shed in lieu of a fare AFTER you were given the ladder.

It fitted in the minibus i had......the guy bought it with the intention of cleaning windows but as he admitted the call of the dole office had more appeal than cleaning windows....result one redundant 18ft ladder..these things are worth £80 or £90
