I believe it is.

Just called a mate where I get my tyres from
The tyre will not be able to be repaired once the spray is used, due to the chemicals used in the spray, and the tyre must be replaced

Your 'mate' wants to sell you tyres & must have seen you coming.

The inside of the tyre just needs thorough cleaning with a rotating wire brush attachment to a powered drill & the tyre is then repairable.

Done it, been there!!

Some owners up here have bought the Chrysler sebrings and they don't have a spare wheel only a compressor and a can of sealant.
I was under the impression that we had to have a full sized spare wheel or a space saver, as the sealant is only good for minor repairs and you have to replace the tyre once you have used it

Different councils have different policies.

Mine now allow the spray stuff, which is meant to be the bizz. :?

I wouldnt ask Kwik-fit, they wouldnt swap a tyre onto another rim for me, but Mr Tyre did it and balance and new valve £10

kwik fit wanted me to have new pads when i had 2 front tyres on my mondeo, 6 months later they were still on the old pads and fine

The reason he said that was the whole of the inside of the tyre would need cleaning out even though as you say the puncture could be repaired it would be really hard to balance the wheel again
