Now we can all have a 'butchas ganda' instead of talking in riddles.

And who the f*ck are the NTDA?

Are they an offshoot of NTA?

Recommendation

That the New E7, designed and manufactured by Peugeot and Cab Direct, be approved for use as a hackney carriage in Liverpool.

Sense may yet prevail in Liverpool.

I dont disagree......but I think you should look at the reports by the same licensing department from 2008.

I can imagine what they say & will make a point of reading them in the next few days.

Have the officers done a turn that Maggie would never have contemplated, after being enlightened by a judge's wisdom?

I'll have to wait a few days & see.

Bought Button's book today & have already learnt something, which I'll check out.

I never like to make things too easy for people, they get lazy, and then the little grey cells turn to jelly. they go to sleep. and then wake up being spoon-fed in some old person's home...... you see I do care.

What you've been telling me for a while now & I disagreed with.

You were right, I was wrong & a little surprised.

And always remember ..... everyone learns 'til the day they die!

Anyone not accepting that statement is a fool.

It seems that LCC are still resisting Licensing the E7 in Liverpool.

Re-consideration of Application for New E7 as Hackney Carriage PDF 164 KB
To re-consider the application from Allied Vehicles Ltd for approval of the new E7 for use as a hackney carriage in Liverpool following the outcome of the successful judicial review brought against the Committee’s decision in March 2008 when it refused the application.

Additional documents:

Alma Lunt v LCC transript, item 46. PDF 131 KB
Minutes:

The Licensing Officer informed the Committee that a letter had been received from Wragge & Co Solicitors acting on behalf of LTI. Following discussions with the City Solicitor, the advice to the Committee would be to defer this matter in order to seek Counsel’s advice before making a decision.

Resolved that this matter be deferred to a future meeting.

A Committee of nutters, led by a Muppet Licensing Officer.

Or is it a nutter of a Licensing Officer, leading a Committee of Muppets.
