If I was a betting man I would bet this case would have gone the other way two years ago.

This is an Establishment decision!!

The Boys looking after The Boys!!!

They're all part of the 'show us your left breast & right leg club'. No wonder it took two years to decide on!! That's how long it took to consult all The Boys!!!

A*seholes!!

Like the man on the TV said, the taxpayer, you & I, bailed out the greedy bwankers & now the taxpayer, still you & I, doesn't even get justice by way of fairness as to what the banks can charge!!

Although, the judgment does say that the OFT cannot determine whether the bank charges are fair. So . . . the question now has to be . . . who can determine or investigate whether the charges are fair??

Does the judgment mean that the OFT can't investigate & determine whether the charges are fair, BUT the courts still can?

I'm going to be contraversial (just for a change) and suggest people in the UK wouldn't incur all these charges if they spent what they earned and perhaps done without the 40" plasma telly for a bit?

A bit like the old speeding ticket thing.

Spot on brummie.
Who owns most of these banks now anyway?
Who stood to loose the billions in claims?
HMG, that's who. Same HMG who are hoping to offload these banks back to the private sector asap.
Just how sellable would they have been if this decision had gone the way it should have?
This has the stench of corruption.
