Yes he is a good footballer, seems a nice fella, and has had a great career, but has he done more this year for British Sport than say the lad who one six stages of the Tour de France? :?

Thats true skippy, but it takes a special kind of person to get £100K per week plus to do it.......remember that when your out driving your cab :lol:

Didn't he take a pay cut when he signed an extension to his contract last season?? That's the reason why he won it IMO. He keeps out of the limelight, you don't see him falling out of clubs at 4am in the morning, you don't here of him getting a driving ban.

The lads a better role model than any other in the past 20 odd years, I dont like Man Utd, but the guy deserves it.
