I'd like to know where skip has f*cked off to after obviously contacting this guy after accusing him.

In so far as I am concerned Gowhere Scotland you should contact scots borders council a couple of times a day for the next 6 months complaining about the wheelchair provision of taxis.

Im still here CC some of have to work ocasionaly

I was not accusing him of nothing, just asking if he should be licenced, and as Sussex points out he should as he could be picking up individuals who may have contacted him either by phone email or through the web site, and as he states he is doing a 24 hour contract but that could also be several all in one go.

and unshared)

Its when as I said you get several individuals that brings the licencing requirement into force

I think I may contact Carlisle council there are far to many Skodas there  I may just put it to them that they should only allow WAVs to use the station rank again

If they are operating as this link appears to describe, then they need a proper license to do so.

Thanks for the interest in our new venture folks - maybe this'll answer any queries about the way we're operating at this time:

SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL
CIVIC GOVERNMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 1982
LICENSING OF TAXIS/PRIVATE HIRE CARS AND DRIVERS

EXPLANATORY NOTES.

There is no requirement to have a Licence if the vehicle is :-

Being used under a contract for exclusive hire for a period of not less than twenty four hours.

All the best,

Andy
:)

And what kind of Vehicle Insurance covers that type of contract work....only one I know that might cover it is a Chauffeur type insurance at around £2,500 per annum...therefore youd probably be cheaper as a PH operator on cheaper insurance.

Certainly normal Private Vehicle insurance wouldnt cover such transportation of customers for hire or reward..

If you have an agreeable insurer I'd gladly welcome the name of them..

Is there anybody on here who actually gives a f*ck?

People riding bikes over the age of 12 are obviously of the mental window licking variety anyway.
