What shall I do while I'm stuck at home, missing out on beer barrel diving practice, waiting for the flight to take off from Cork, let alone land at LHR?

I know, I'll start a thread entitled "The 'awaiting the flight' thread!" and start it with a post asking 'What shall I do while I'm stuck at home, missing out on beer barrel diving practice, waiting for the flight to take off from Cork, let alone land at LHR?'

I would think about how many pints you will get out of the fare you have got whilst being stuck at home, missing out on beer barrel diving practice, waiting for the flight to take off from Cork, let alone land at LHR?'

I'm back now. The pub's closed.

I should have included that the flight was 2 hours late; Hence my chagrin at missing beer barrel diving duty!!!! :x

What do others do when a flight is late?

Will this thread provide a useful diversion?

ISIHAC quality answers only, please!

Have you forgotten where your Diversionary thread is???? Within five posts you'll have an Image of Toots downloaded from the internet and which is'nt her or anything like her..but eye candy just the same.

Within a further five posts you'll have at least one of skips Jokes.

Within a further 5 posts you'll have Admin insisting the post be rebranded NSFW due to the above skimpy clad toots Look-a-likey offering from the far flung corner of cyberspace.

Within a further Five posts one of two things will have happened...your late landing flight will have arrived and your heading home with your client....or you've fallen asleep at your key board with QWERTY stamped mirror image style into your forehead and your client will be long gone because you've slept through their arrival.

There...has that helped to kill 5 constructive minutes of your waiting Time? :?

I take my notebook with my USB dongle and surf the net while I'm waiting.

I'll do Liverpool at a push if they're desperate but after a pick up at Heathrow once upon time which had me standing in the wrong terminal for 2 hours cos the idiots in the office got it wrong and the same at Manchester I just refuse to do them now. As I say to them I won't pick anybody up from the airport so it's only fair that the drivers that will get the chace to take the fares out before I do :D

LOL your on the same wavelength as me when it comes to airports, I only do mates and then I will only go as far as East Midlands Airport which is 20 mile down the motorway.

When they get back they ring me when they are coming through Customs, I'm sat on the main road to save on parking costs, I go in and pick them up before the free 10 minutes runs out.

Jeepers, you must have more work than Derby if you don't want to do airports. If I go on the ranks inbetween my school it's a stuggle to earn £30 these days.Compare that with less than an hour round trip to EMA for a similar amount. Not to mention the better class of customer.
I know it's horses for courses but personally I absolutely hate working town now, luckily it's getting less and less as the website has been a raging success.
I do the same as you Nigel at EMA.Park at the services then roll down when they have luggage.Ain't giving that crew any money for picking up,though it's probably only a matter of time until they follow the rest of the robbing airports around the country and charge for pick up/drop off.
Regards
Steve

I picked up a few Eurostar passengers today.

To say they won't be using the service again is an understatement!
