SNOW IS LIKE A C*CK:
It's measured in inches,
Initially soft to the touch,
Comes when you least expect it,
And never as deep as you'd like it!

No snow in Brum so far, except for an insignificant 1-2 inches about two weeks ago.

But the roads are very icy with zero or below temperatures for more than a week.

Expecting some of the white stuff later today & it sounds as if it might be several inches.

Birmingham Airport has remained open throughout, with many diversions coming in from airports around the country.

Most passengers are having to wait about four hours on the tarmac in the aircraft after touching down before disembarking, due to sheer volumes of planes landing & the lack of space to stack the planes & shortage of exit piers.

Just going back out to the 'port as Sky News are reporting airports around the country closed again.

The work in the city though is abysmal with the night work, except for weekends, almost non-existant & the day work extremely poor.

Chaotic here initially. Rain falling on frozen ground, instant skating rink!

Trains are a mess. But, I'm still having my day off - Probably safer that way!

Your not wrong there mate!
Market Roundabout was a skating rink then the buses couldn't get out of Hoefod depot! Took me 3/4 of an hour to get from the Multi Storey to "Lee on" mostly sideways lol

Looking forward to something similar tomorrow. Our lads had a wonderful day without any trains and buses!

Sodding snow. I don't believe it, firstly I'm snowed out and when they finally let me know that I could get home if I drive in very carefully the weather takes a turn for the worse here and I can't get out on to the M58 or M6, both were nuts. I've given up trying to get back home until after christmas

Picked up a young lady who got caught up in the Eurostar mess up.

She eventually got to St Pancras, walked out to the cabs and got a free cab home, no ticket required.

Talk about a license to print money.

Driver could have said she went to Plymouth, and no-one would have known. She might not have been a Eurostar punter.

However she did say there was £20 on the meter before she moved an inch.
