oh and BTW ive only been out working a dozen or so times and I've been pretty busy, but then i don't have expensive plates to pay for or overpriced taxi's

i thought with all the bleating about how bad it was etc, that i would be coming home with £50 or somit,i still managed £20 per hour on average
weekdays, but then i actually go hunting the work, rather than sit on ranks bumping ma gums.

2.9 could be taken as implying that if new licenses are available the council would issue to those on the list

does this not say it all

2.11 who had not applied for a license

whhhat!!! well m,lord it like this

2.17 this is due to the fact that some ppl on the ipl appear to have been informed that licenses would be issued to them first

sorry guys but even mr mc cleod knows this is a non starter.
this is how councils get rid of their problems, this is how the system of politics and government work, get some other part of the system to deflect blame and accountability.
ill stick my neck oot noo and say the ipl is getting dumped, and the council will blame the courts.

you tell me clegy how many do you have?
besides i have no problem with others getting plates, never have never will.
even if they derestrict it wouldnt bother me.
the greed part and the desperation shown in that consultation imo,is that they are all willing to [edited by admin] all over each other to get the 27 plates.
when in fact if they had stuck together, then all would get without the need to go to court.
the council are doing the usual divide and conquer routine, and true to form the lowlifes all cut each other up,rather than stand as one, miserable excuses for human beings in my opinion.

tell me they didn't know that you lot wouldn't sheet all over each other
trust me clegy its all part of the plan, not mine but the councils.

the councils intention is to get shot of the ipl,one way or an other,i doubt it matters to them how its disposed of,whether by disbursment of plate or more likely through a court over turning thier decision and issueing to first come first served.
one things for sure i doubt its over

btw which way did you vote

AliT, Gusmac,

recieved a recorded delivery from CEC, they are considering my application within the next two weeks. It states that it is in my interest to attend in person at the City Chambers. They also included a list of applications that have to be considered first and these are from the Interested Parties List, they are in the order of their point position as at 5th January 2010. It also states that 7 applications from the IPL were first submitted in the names of Ltd Companies or partnerships, it then goes on to say that officers had not reminded applicants that they had to apply in their own names and not the name of on the name of a company or partnership, which have a separate legal personality from the applicant. These applicants withdrew their original applications and made new applications as individuals. There are 37 applicants from the IPL that are being considered 1st before the 1st Live applicant.
CEC have stated that if it is intended to refuse an application it will be on the grounds that all the available licenses have been issued and in terms of section 10 (3) of the CGS Act 1982 that the committee were satisfied that there is no significant unmet demand. Lastly, the council will reimburse 90% of application fee within 2 weeks of refusal.

Now in my mind, this letter reeks of DECISION ALREADY MADE boys, money will be in the post. They are just following the process....

Thoughts please?

Sounds as though you could be right.
If true, CEC are deliberately putting the IPL first and refusing licences to anyone else. This is illegal, since the IPL has no legal standing - as proved in a previous legal challenge.
Each application MUST be considered on it's own merits, using demand information available at the time of application.
Not considered against any other applications or using demand information obtained later when they get around to looking at the application.

Go to the meeting and if you are refused, ask for a statement of reasons for refusal

They are offering most monies back in the hopes that some of the unsuccessfull applicants won't go to the sheriff to have their applications granted. Some will, no doubt, take up this offer.
What you and they all need to do if you do get refused is
1 Refuse this cash bribe, since accepting it would probably be seen as accepting their decision.
2 Get together with the other refused applicants, hire a decent brief and challenge this in court.

its even worse than that gusmac
as they have allowed ipl applicants to apply(they did so in the form of a company) they were told they are not allowed to then given all there money back and allowed to apply again, and then put in front of applicants who were before them twice

this is corruption! full stop.
but it seems no one is doing anything to stop them,so they will get away with it.
