I require Jockeys or owner drivers, I am fed up knocking work back due to lack of drivers ! Trying to build the business up as there seems to be plenty people around this area that use taxis from Chester  ,
we average 350 jobs per week at present but must knock back at least another 100,

Anyone interested in buying a taxi business with huge potential ??
I am trying to get my head around the fact that you seem to be the only one in saltney/chester who has work! All other companies have too many drivers not enough work. The previous 2 companies in saltney had to give up due to lack of work and large overheads, Good luck!

I bought the old Joe Le Taxi a few months ago, Business is building quite nicely, I appreciate your comments about firms in Saltney closing down but that for some reason always seems to happen especially Flintshire plated vehicles getting work from Cheshire !
This business has been run down over the last couple of years so I am trying to build it up again, Work is increasing by about 30% a month as word spreads but having difficulty getting new drivers to cover it,
I am based in Broughton not Saltney,

57 jobs a day if you work 7 days a week, 66 if you work 6? :?

Oh well that's me 34 jobs up for tomorrow then :D checked my meter when I finished 10 Min's ago from 3pm until now 87 jobs
Most jobs here only take around 5 mins, and are a mix of phone and rank

I think you need to start re-setting your meter each shift Skip...you'll be up to several thousand jobs per week by the end of the year otherwise.

Or...is it that the discounts you offer have brought you in line with the local bus fares and so you pick up the bus customers on the way past and count them as jobs too?

Now now, Cap, we all know Skippy never "tells porkies" apart from the electric metrocab, his age, his 22, etc, etc....

Thanks for letting us know that, You are the only firm around that area then. Have you though about using taxis/owner drivers from other areas to help you with selective distance account work. You could then keep your own cars local. Just until you get more drivers in. At least then you wont be knocking jobs back.

Yep, I have my own Black cab working in Chester with a Jockey driver, He comes here now and again to help out, Got a new driver in last week so that also helps, Funny thing is i have been here 5 months now ( just entering the 6th) and we have done more work in January than in September when I took over, Who said Januarys are a bad month !! :?

Januarys are fine in London, they always have been for about the last 8 years.

I find mid Feb until after the school holidays at Easter the [edited by admin] part. August isn't anything to write home about either, hence I take my main holiday then.
