Serial sex beast poses as taxi driver
Victims of a bogus cab driver who has carried out sex attacks across Greater Manchester are urged to come forward.
The man has struck three times but detectives fear he has forced many more women to perform sex acts.
The first incident happened on December 12 when a woman out shopping with a friend in Sale got into a fake private hire car.
The attacker drove off but then demanded the victim perform a sexual act on him. She refused and got out but the man pushed her against the car and sexually assaulted her in Norbury Avenue.
In the second attack on January 25, a teenager was picked up on Deansgate in Manchester after leaving a club.
When the man drove onto the Mancunian Way near Hulme she told him he was going the wrong way but he said nothing. While still driving he then carried out a serious sexual assault.
The victim begged to be let out and was eventually left in the All Saints area. She made her way to a pizza takeaway in York Street where she raised the alarm.
Then on February 1, a woman was tricked into thinking she was getting into a cab in Farm Lane, Worsley.
Again the driver started heading in the wrong direction. He demanded she carry out a sexual act then dropped her close to home.
The suspect is believed to have driven a silver Ford Focus in the Manchester incident and a black Vauxhall Astra in the Worsley attack.
Det Insp Caroline Walker, of Swinton CID, said: “While these incidents are rare, we are sure there are other victims out there who need to contact specially trained officers who can deal with you.
“I must stress the importance of only using licensed and pre-ordered taxis.”

•A 21-year-old man arrested by detectives investigating the attacks has been bailed until February 23 pending further inquiries.
