Hi Steve your best bet would be to go into teles and see Dougie Inglis who will ask the boys working if they want a day shift driver.

I am sure Dougie's car would be available a couple of days a week.It would not be ideal but it would get your foot in the door. Also you would get the secret job book which comes with the bosses car

Just question the council policy and ask why you cant have your own cab, that normally springs the trade into action.

I never came through 203020, i have had a badge for 3 years and worked for 50s for all that time, i think the reason there are so few taxi jobs going is that taxi operators are taking ex 203020 drivers on after they do there year with 203020, if people refused to employ ex 203020 drivers they would stop running there courses because theyre would be no jobs for them to go to after they do there mandatory years work, cheers

What mandatory years work? Are you saying that the company train drivers and then insist that they do a years work or they have to pay for the training? I am sure that I read somewhere that this is unenforceable and is an unfair condition to put on someones employment. In any other job, if an employee requires training it is the responsibility of the employer to provide it.

A knock at the door from Mr young with the possibility your ears would be removed

Some boys have called his bluff and left, and your right he can do nothing about it but it does not stop him trying to get £1,500 of them.
