Seconded the same...Now ! if this Trade is going to be taken seriously at any level, it must show willingness towards change and lead by example...instead of the "dragged kicking and screaming, whining about costs, two -bob outfit potrayal" Compliance on both sides is required

Thats the crux of the matter...maybe the vast Majority of the trade disagree with such over the top changes and its only right they go down fighting. no one in their right mind needs such Zealously enforced over the top legislation heaped upon them...especially in these difficult financial times. Sadly it was natural or accidental events that left these individuals reliant on wheelchairs and not the taxi trade. 100% Equality does not exist Naturally and nor will it ever exist through mankinds interference.

Keep on whining ....you have a right to be heard as your livelyhood depends on it.

Seriously I would agree totally and I wish that would be the case, but I can't really see it until it becomes a level playing field for all.....until that happens it's a matter of "divided we fall" and survival of the strongest, fittest WILL survive

Trade unity?

This trade will never have unity, too many chiefs and not enough.....

The equality bill is one obvious example......those with WAV's think their safe, therefore f*ck all input from them, but saloon owners scurrying around like rats on a deserted ship.

PH......well now they've paid the piper....they suspiciously aint so interested.

Yet despite all I am positive about this trade, from me (whom is obviously adonis like) and sussex and Brightonbreezy and many I've missed....to the likes of Jaspar whom I will disagree with on everything, actually give a sh*t from different spectrums (yes this PC is old).

Its a matter of pooling resources and utilising them, for the good of the cab trade.

Obviously the colour of sh*te would have to go to a committee, which would put forward proposals

p*ss off my freind, I'm sure even you recognises, the trade needs to find out what it agrees on then go from there.

When you have a number of different groups, that have different views, then the only way forward is to compromise... find something that you can all live with.... it might not be perfect... but it's better than going backwards.
The trade will continuously evolve, the big companies will eat up the smaller companies, the companies that advertise and give discounts will grow, drivers coming into the trade will look for the cheapest option.... which undoubtedly is private hire.....
The problem with this trade is then nobody has any backbone..... to frightened to stand-up for themselves..... and then you have the smart arsses..... whose only contribution is to pull people down... and then blame everyone else when their world falls apart. but never mind you can always wash cars for a living.. but then ..... I expect someone will start Complaining about the price of plastic buckets...
