Auriga Systems Releases TomTom For CT4000 In-Vehicle Data Unit

(I-Newswire) March 24, 2010 - Auriga Systems, the UK-based Data Despatch supplier for taxi and private hire companies, now offers fully integrated TomTom satellite navigation on its flagship CT4000 in-vehicle Data Unit.

Released this week, TomTom on CT4000 offers taxi and private hire drivers instant, ‘touch of a button’ navigation to the pick-up, via or destination on the job they are doing.

Full integration means no pausing to enter addresses or postcodes – drivers just press the navigate button and off they go, with all the navigation and routing handled by industry-leading GPS package, TomTom.

TomTom integration cements the CT4000’s position as Auriga’s flagship in-vehicle device for taxi and private hire drivers, offering a range of features designed to make drivers’ lives easier and more profitable.

Auriga Systems General Manager Michael Ross today announced this exciting development, stating: “The world’s premier in-car device for taxi and private hire drivers now hosts the world’s premier satellite navigation package. It is a perfect fit. We are delighted to be able to offer TomTom to our customers, and make the CT4000 an even more essential unit than it was before.”

Brighton & Hove Streamline Taxis Ltd is one of the first companies in the UK to install CT4000s with TomTom, and Director Andrew Peters is delighted with the results: “The combination of the CT4000 and the new TomTom navigation software equals a true, one action, ‘Navigate to’ system. This is so simple to use with the instant integration: the job comes in, press ‘Navigate to’, and you are on your way.”

For more information on the CT4000 with integrated TomTom navigation or any of Auriga’s range of Data Despatch products, please contact Auriga Systems on 01582 466802, or visit www.auriga.co.uk.

Auriga Systems is a trading name of Auriga Communications Ltd.

Sounds good. I've always liked Auriga systems albeit a bit on the expensive side but there's an old saying, "you pay cheap you get cheap".

The autocab system we have has similar in respect of the pick up and drop off points, mind you it isn't needed because I am a professional driver, any driver found using those things in his own area should be suspended!
