Perhaps a condition of license attached to the Operators license.......similar to Burnley?

I don't consider 93 taxis a small number.

Nor do I!!! I completely bypassed that sentence in your post I think. In all honesty I had no idea the number of hacks was that high. That's just ridiculous... and all paying the lower settle. Best of both worlds indeed!

Yes indeed the best of both worlds. Well if you're joining us I'm sure you'll get use to it. Your name suggests you will be HC but I seem to think you're going to be PH (not sure why). Anyway if you have any problems with anything just tell them and the standard reply is "if you don't like it you know what you can do, have you got your settle"

Yes, PH. My username's a bit 'out of date'. i must have set it up when I was thinking of going on the hacks a while back. And yes, it's run like most taxi / PH firms!!!

I had heard a rumour but thanks for the confirmation. Having said that I wonder if it will make any difference, I mean they didn't take any notice of all the advice they were given last time

you spelt 'is' right but I think you meant 'his'. TOOLS is also a good description of our council and our reps

A private hire firm in Derby had the brass neck to run a radio ad along the lines of 'Need a taxi? Ring......'
Cheeky bar stewards,I got onto our union rep who contacted the council who promptly got them to change the ad.
At least they took quick action on that occasion unlike when the wannabee hacks are raiding the streets of customers.Try passing the knowledge test first!!!
Regards
Steve
